The artist creates both functional ceramics for everyday life and playful ceramic figures inspired by animals, angels, and other imaginative characters.

One of the artist’s signature creations is a series of unique and charming ceramic figures called “Gogu.”

At the heart of the artist’s work are three ideas:

The experience price includes the materials and tools needed for pottery making, guidance from the ceramic artist, firing and finishing, careful packing, and delivery of your finished piece.
After the experience, your work will remain with the artist to be dried, fired, glazed, and finished. Once complete, it will be carefully packed and shipped to the address you provide.

A relaxed one-hour introduction to clay and creativity

Base Experience Price: ¥10,000 per person
Studio time: 1 hour
Clay: 500g

Clay Discovery is ideal for first-time pottery makers or travelers looking for a shorter creative experience.
Using approximately 500g of clay, you can create something such as:

one plate
a small vase
a small sculpture
another original piece of your choice

Even within a shorter session, you will have time to learn the basics from the artist, work directly with the clay, and experience the pleasure of shaping something with your own hands.
This course is a simple and relaxed way to discover pottery while traveling in Yatsugatake.

☆Signature Creation

Take your time and create a piece that carries the memory of your journey

Base Experience Price: ¥13,000 per person
Studio time: 2 hours
Clay: 800g

Signature Creation is our main experience for guests who would like more time, more clay, and more freedom to explore their creativity.
Using approximately 800g of clay, you may create something such as:

a bowl
a salad bowl
a curry plate
a larger plate
a vase
one or two small vessels or objects
a sculpture or decorative object
another original piece of your own design

With more time to work, you can develop your idea together with the artist and pay closer attention to shape, texture, and detail.
The aim is to create something that will remain with you long after your journey in Japan, a handmade piece that carries a memory of your time in Yatsugatake.

◎Shipping Your Finished Pottery

Your pottery cannot be taken home on the day of the experience.
After you finish creating, your piece will remain with the artist to be dried, fired, glazed, and carefully finished.
Once complete, it will be securely packed and shipped to the address you provide.

○Shipping Fee

Within Japan: +¥1,000 per person
Asia: +¥4,000 per person
North America & Europe: +¥7,000 per person

For international delivery, we generally use EMS (Express Mail Service).
The shipping fee includes standard packing and delivery for finished pieces within the expected size and weight range for each course.
In most cases, there will be no additional shipping charge after the experience.
If your finished piece is significantly larger or heavier than the standard range, an additional shipping fee may apply. If so, we will contact you before shipment.

For international deliveries, customs duties, import taxes, customs clearance fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country are not included and are the responsibility of the recipient.

If you would like your pottery shipped to a destination outside Asia, North America, or Europe, please tell us the destination country when submitting your booking request.
We will confirm the available shipping method and final price before your booking is confirmed.
